Guarantees

Styles of Bath Limited hereby offers the following guarantee terms in relation to your installation. All items are guaranteed against defective workmanship and/or defective materials starting from the installation completion date. The following exclusions apply to the Guarantee:

This Guarantee does not cover any accidental damage (including glass breakage), blockages, wear and tear, misuse of the product, and any faults associated with condensation.

This Guarantee does not cover any problems associated with fading or discolouration. This Guarantee does not cover any problems associated with the penetration of insects, misting, and mould growth. This Guarantee does not cover any problem in the event the consumer fails to adequately maintain the product or misuses the product. This Guarantee does not cover any cracks or faults to plastering due to settlement. Any minor defects in glass units (as per the glazing guidelines).

The choice of whether materials are either repaired or replaced is at the sole discretion of Styles of Bath Limited. This guarantee is not transferable. Please refer back to Terms and Conditions for further information. Your guarantee should be retained and kept in a safe place after installation for future reference. Our Homeowner care guide needs to be adhered to otherwise your Guarantee may be void.

Your Composite Door will stay in top condition with just one clean a month. Here’s how to care for each part of your door:

Keep grime and grit away with warm soapy water (not washing up liquid) and wipe with a soft cloth. Keep door frame clean by washing with warm soapy water. Stubborn stains demand a specialised PVC cleaner, available at Styles of Bath. Always follow cleaner’s guidelines carefully, keep well away from coloured door or any other coloured surfaces. Wash external glass with warm soapy water, finishing with a proprietary glass cleaner also available at Styles of Bath. Please note oxidization will occur naturally over time on leaded glass. Rub over hardware (handles, knockers etc) with a clean cloth and warm water with mild detergent, then simply wipe clean to a shine.

Composite doors are low maintenance, you will find a little care every six months goes a very long way:

Keep hinges at their best by lubricating with a little light engineering oil. Add a touch of light engineering oil to hardware/any moving parts, this is especially important if you live in a coastal area, or near a building/industrial site. Caution! DO NOT USE: Washing up liquids or detergents. Abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. High pressure or steam cleaners. Bleach, solvents (spirits or thinners) or adhesives. Before cleaning your door remove all rings, watches and bracelets. Important – Protect your door from natural thermal distortion. Make sure the top and bottom locking points are engaged by pulling the handle up every time you shut the door. This Homeowner care guide can also be used on UPVC/Aluminium window and door products.
